Laying of Foundation: Laid on 24 January 1992 as “Uttara High School & College” Change of Name
Initial Setting: The Ministry of Education adopted a Resolution on Modus Operandi on 21st March 1994 which was published in Bangladesh Gazette on 14 April 1994.
Beginning of Academic Activities in September 1994.

Rajuk Uttara Model College(RUMC) is a co-educational Bangladeshi High school(Grade VI-XII) situated in Uttara, Dhaka about a kilometer north from Shahjalal International Airport.
Established in 1994,RUMC has maintained a strong academic tradition and is one of the best colleges in the country. Admissions are based on an entrance test and a viva-voce (oral examination). The school provides education to its students in both Bengali & English medium under the national curriculum. Students can get admitted into the institution in sixth, ninth and in eleventh grade.
